The Process
The energy audit process typically takes between 3-6 hours depending upon the size and complexity of issues that we face.
The audit is akin to a doctor’s physical exam- what you don’t know might KILL you (think carbon monoxide!). From interviewing the homeowner and listening to their concerns to running a battery of diagnostic tests, you can rest assured that we will expose as many “secrets” your home is holding on to as well as prepare an accurate course of action on how to solve them.
It starts outside with a thermal imaging scan of the home and winds up in the basement, examining the attic all the way down to the cellar floor and everything in between. Following RESNET and BPI standards, we will dissect the home and utilize industry software to help shape improvements based on your needs and budget.
