Domicile Consulting’s Curriculum Vitae
We have over 35 years of combined construction experience as carpenters, remodelers, insurance investigation, fire investigation and general contracting. We understand how buildings are put together and the materials and methods used. All of this translates into less time spent wondering how homes are built and more time developing the correct course of action for your particular problems.

Our ExperienceDan Cullen:
Dan’s building construction career began in 1976 when he became an apprentice carpenter. He achieved journeyman status four years later and worked in home building, industrial truss repair, and concrete construction.
From 1981 until 1995 he operated a small remodeling and construction company specializing in improving and repairing older homes in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago.
From 1995 until 1999, Dan worked for an insurance service firm that inspected homes for Allstate, American Family, and other insurance companies. In 1999 he became a home inspector and over the intervening years has performed over 3,500 home inspections throughout the Chicago area and maintains a loyal customer base.
Ross Neag:
As the son of an engineer and grandson of a mechanically inclined machinist, Ross’s graduation into building science was inevitable. Since 1999, and three long winters beforehand apprenticing under a master carpenter, he has personally renovated nearly two dozen homes, completed numerous remodeling projects as well as the construction of his own Energy Star residence.
Ross is committed to helping homeowners fully understand the complex systems that they are going to inherit in a purchase as well as help quarterback the reduction of energy use for those interested in reducing their carbon footprints and greatly improving the comfort of the homes they live in.
